How do I change or cancel my reservation? How do I change or cancel my reservation?

If you have booked a flexible rate, you can amend or cancel your reservation 24 hours prior to arrival. You may do so directly through the reservation platform/agency with which you have booked. 

If you have booked a non-refundable rate, the reservation is charged immediately and thus rendered non-refundable or modifiable. You may cancel your booking, but not without incurring 100% of the penalty.

Until when can I check in? Until when can I check in?

Our standard check-in time is 15:00, but if you book through our official website you can check in at 14:00! An earlier check-in is entirely dependant on availability. Would you like a guaranteed early check-in? Then we advise you to reserve the night before your arrival (one extra night) as well.

How do I get to the hotel? How do I get to the hotel?

From Central Station

Take the subway line 52 from Central Station to 'Vijzelgracht'. Take exit 'Weteringschans'. It's a 7 minute walk to the Amsterdam Canal Hotel.

From Schiphol Airport

Take one of the trains to Central Station Amsterdam and from there, you take the subway as mentioned above.

Can I park at the hotel? Can I park at the hotel?

It is possible to park your car in our private garage, located opposite of the hotel. Rates are € 40,- a day. Keep in mind that parking is limited and should be discussed with our reception. We advise to send an email to info@amsterdamcanalhotels.com.

Does the hotel offer a shuttle service? Does the hotel offer a shuttle service?

Amsterdam Canal Hotels does not offer a shuttle service. The reception is, of course, happy to help you with organizing your transportation.

Are there any age restrictions in the hotel? Are there any age restrictions in the hotel?

Both guests have to be 23 or older to book a hotel room, unless you come with your family. Alcoholic drinks are only served to guests who are 18 or older with a valid ID.

If you would like to reserve a room a deposit of €100, - is required.

No, pets are not allowed in the hotel rooms.

Until when can I have my breakfast? Until when can I have my breakfast?

We serve an extensive breakfast buffet daily. We have time slots and booking is required. Mon - Friday 07:00, 08:00 or 09:00 and on Saturday and Sunday at 08:00, 09:00 & 10:00.

Until what time can I check out? Until what time can I check out?

Our standard check-out time is 11:00 a.m. but when you book through our own webiste, you can check-out an hour later at 12:00. A later check-out can be requested, but this is entirely dependent on availability. An extra charge of 10 euros per hour is added for a check-out between 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. After 3:00 p.m., an additional night is charged.

Flexible rate conditions
Free cancellation or rebooking up to 24 hours before arrival. Cannot be changed after check-in. For no-shows, only the first night is charged.

Non refundable rate condtions
Non-changeable, non-refundable, 100% chargeable. These rates are charged immediately upon booking.
