How do I change or cancel my reservation? How do I change or cancel my reservation?

If you have booked a flexible rate, you can amend or cancel your reservation 72 hours prior to arrival. You may do so directly through the reservation platform/agency with which you have booked. 

If you have booked a non-refundable rate, the reservation is charged immediately and thus rendered non-refundable or modifiable. You may cancel your booking, but not without incurring 100% of the penalty.

Our standard check-in time is 15:00. An earlier check-in is entirely dependant on availability. Would you like a guaranteed early check-in? Then we advise you to reserve the night before your arrival (one extra night) as well.

How do I get to the hotel? How do I get to the hotel?

From Central Station

Take from Central Station tram 2 (stop 'Koningsplein') or metro 52 to Rokin. From both stops, it's a 10 minute walk to Grand Canal Boutique Hotel.

From Schiphol Airport

Take one of the trains to Central Station Amsterdam and from there, you take the tram or metro as mentioned above.

Can I park at the hotel? Can I park at the hotel?

Unfortunately we do not offer parking. It is possible to park your car on the canals, but keep in mind that parking is limited (local fees apply). Alternatively, you can park your car in one of the Q Park garage on the Marnixstraat. It's an 8 minute walk from the garage to the hotel. A day ticket is €45,-.

Amsterdam Canal Hotels does not offer a shuttle service. The reception is, of course, happy to help you with organizing your transportation.

No, pets are not allowed in the hotel rooms.

Until what time can I check out? Until what time can I check out?

Our standard check-out time is 11:00 am. Late check-outs are not available to book in advance. Please ask our front office for the possibilities.

Flexible rate conditions
Free cancellation or rebooking up to 72 hours before arrival. Cannot be changed after check-in. For no-shows, only the first night is charged.

Non refundable rate condtions
Non-changeable, non-refundable, 100% chargeable. These rates are charged immediately upon booking.

As we are housed in an old mansion on the canal belt, we do not have an elevator. Please note that the stairs are quite steep. Our staff can help you carrying your bags to the room. If you have any questions, please contact our staff.
